Dermal fillers mostly consist of hyaluronic acid gel. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring bodily substance that retains up to 10,000 times its weight in water within the skin, therefore intensively hydrating the skin as well as recontouring the face. As hyaluronic acid is already present in the human body, allergic reactions are extremely rare. Botox® is a versatile and clever substance, derived from a natural toxin and injected in tiny doses. It blocks the chemical signals which tell muscles to contract. If a person naturally has strong frown lines, for example, due to the intense bunching of the procerus and corrugators muscles, Botox® can be injected to stop those contractions and therefore smooth out the targeted area of skin. Botox® injections are a temporary measure, their effects lasting 3-4 months in most patients.

Our facial skin carries the marks of weather and wear more than any other part of the body. Much of that damage lies in the outer layers of the skin. Chemical peels remove those outer layers, cleansing the pores and revealing the fresh, undamaged skin beneath, for a smoother, clearer, and more youthful complexion.
